🍍 On Your Visit

Yes, complimentary consultations are part of our protocol before proceeding with any treatments at Wink.

Each treatment starts with a consultation from our skilled nurse therapists to thoroughly discuss what to expect from the treatment and provide an assessment on which service will address your concern.

Should you prefer to have your consultation with a doctor instead, we also provide free treatment-related consultations with board-certified dermatologists that must be scheduled ahead of time. You can contact your preferred Wink location here to check our doctor's schedule and availability.

The feeling is often described to be similar to the snap of a rubber band.

If you have low pain tolerance, that's okay! Here are our tips on how you can make your laser facial session more bearable:

  • You can inform your Wink nurse therapist right before the treatment starts that you have low pain tolerance. She'll take it from there.
  • You can also ask your Wink nurse therapist for a test patch prior to your actual laser session. This way, you can get a sense of what it feels like.
  • You can take oral pain killers 30-mins. prior to your appointment. It can help reduce the discomfort you might experience during the session.
  • A sanitized and sterile stress ball will be provided to you by your Wink nurse therapist that you can use & squeeze during your session.
  • After you're done with your treatment, expect that your nurse therapist will apply an anti-inflammatory cream to help soothe the area.

🌴 Post-treatment

You can safely enjoy tanning, use tanning lamps & products, go outdoor swimming, and/or do any activity under the sun AFTER 2-3 weeks from your laser treatment to prevent sunburn and/or hyperpigmentation.

Please take some time to let your face absorb the treatment. You can apply make-up 24 hours after your laser session to prevent possible irritation.

Here's what you can do within 24 hours after treatment:

  • Use sunblock with a minimum of SPF30 daily (even if you’ll be indoors!) to prevent hyperpigmentation
  • Use moisturizer twice a day daily to prevent dry skin and micro peeling
  • Skip physical activities that cause excessive sweating in the treated area (e.g. workouts, hiking, etc.) - for at least 48 hrs. 😉✌🏽

We do not sell creams or toners, but we do offer anti-inflammatory creams and sunblock that you can use on exposed treated areas. We let the lasers do the work. This way, when you see improvement on your skin, you’ll know that it’s the laser’s effect and not the product’s.

Short-term redness can be expected immediately after the treatment. Don’t worry, this should subside in a few hours. Feeling a little sunburn-like warmth on the treated area is normal after each session. Vellus or fine hair usually found on the face will turn white before shedding as the laser removes pigment from the hair follicles.

Recommended interval for single treatment (either Laser Facial Pores or Laser Facial Pigment Only).

📍 For the first few sessions, every 2 weeks to boost the effectiveness of either Laser Facial Pores and/or Laser Facial Pigment.

📍 For maintenance treatments, every 4 weeks is recommended.

Recommended interval for alternating treatments (Combination of both Laser Facial Pores and Laser Facial Pigment).

📍 Alternating treatments every 2 weeks.

☀️ Pre-treatment

Our Laser Whitening treatment lightens dark areas like elbows, knees, underarms, bikini area, buttocks and even smooth out bumps & chicken skin with no downtime.

This laser fix is easy, safe, and chemical-free— with only 20 minutes of treatment time and no smelly creams, daily maintenance, or peeling involved.

Step 1: The area to be treated will be wiped clean by our nurse therapists to remove any sweat or dirt.

Step 2: You’ll be asked to wear our sterilized goggles prior to the treatment.

Step 3: The laser will pass through each area of the skin several times. Treatment will stop once the skin has reached the endpoint, which is either mild erythema or warm to the touch.

Both treatments are effective when sessions are done regularly following the recommended number of sessions and intervals. Revlite is made in the U.S. while Fotona QX Max is made in Slovenia.

There are certain factors that make underarms darker. Plucking, shaving, using deodorants, hormones are just some of them.

While the effects of Laser Whitening are lasting, we cannot ensure that its effects will be permanent if any of those above-mentioned factors will be done or will happen (i.e. pregnancy - hormones).

Do note that this treatment is for lightening uneven skin tone and erasing bumps and chicken skin. It is not meant for permanent hair reduction.

☀️ Pre-treatment

The Laser Hair Removal with the GentleMAX Pro is the ideal laser treatment for happy and carefree babes who want to be hair-free. Wink's GentleMAX Pro is the fastest and easiest way to permanently banish unwanted hair and eliminate ingrown hairs.

Step 1: Unwanted hair is shaved and the skin is wiped clean.

Step 2: The handpiece is applied to the skin in a “stamping” motion, emitting quick laser and coolant spray pulses to the desired treatment area.

Step 3: Coolant spray is wiped off, and anti-inflammatory and soothing cream is applied. You're all done!

It is often described to be similar to the snap of a rubber band. This discomfort subsides quickly and is minimized by quick bursts of coolant spray (cryogen).

What we offer is permanent hair reduction. Any hair that is laser-ed will permanently disappear, however, laser hair removal does not prevent our bodies from producing any more hair. This is why it is called permanent hair reduction instead of permanent hair removal.

Once you've completed the initial set/recommended number of sessions, you can come in at least 1-2x a year for "maintenance" purposes. 😉

You may not proceed with treatment if you:

📍 Have blonde, white, red, or gray hair (Laser works best on dark hair)
📍 Are pregnant and/or lactating (a doctor's note is required)
📍 Are taking or have taken Isotretinoin (Accutane/Acnotin) within the last 6 months
